Creating a payee within Bill Pay

The person or business you're sending money to is called a payee. This could be just about anyone—a store, your cable company, or a credit card. If you make regular payments to a company, it can be helpful to set them up as a payee to make things quicker and easier when you actually create a payment later.

Add a Payee

  1. Click the Add Payee button. On a mobile device, click the button then click Add Payee.
  2. A list of common connected payees wiPayeeSearchll appear. You can either:
    1. Click on one of the payees displayed OR search for your payee in the search bar at top. If your payee is in our list, you'll be asked to log into your account with that payee to sync it; OR









    2. Click the Add Payee button at bottom to type in a payee manually.
      1. Enter the new payee’s information and your account details with that payee.
      2. Select the account you'll wish to pay this payee from (ex: if you want to send payments to the payee from your checking account, select that within the dropdown).
      3. Optionally you may assign a Nickname to your payee (ex: Phone Bill), include the payee's email, and/or add a note about this payee in the Memo field.
      4. Click the Create Payee button to finish adding this payee to your list.
