Level up your customer payment experience by customizing your invoice.
With Autobooks Invoice Designer, you can customize the look of your invoices in a snap. From the Invoicing tool, click the Invoice Designer tab to get started.
Add your business logo
- Click the pencil icon in the upper banner of the invoice designer.
- You'll see a pop-up with instructions on allowable file types and image size. Click Select an image to find your logo image on your device.
- If the image fits our requirements, you'll see the image onscreen. Click Save to add the image to your invoice template.
Choose an invoice color
You can select a color for your invoice header that matches your business branding. To select a color:
Click the general color you want from the small color swatches, then click inside the color box to narrow down the color you want. OR
- If you know your color Hex code, you can enter it into the box above the color swatches. Not sure? There are several free websites that can tell you your code, like this one.
- Click Save header color to save your selection.
Change your business name or contact information
The default information that appears on your invoice template will be the formal information we have for your business. If you have a customer service phone number or email address that you'd like to show on your template (instead of your main phone number and email address) you can update it.
- Click the pencil icon next to your business name in the template.
- A pop-up will appear. You may edit the fields shown.
- Click Save company contact information to complete the change.
Note: Changing your business name, phone number, or email address in your invoice template DOES NOT change this information elsewhere. If you need to permanently change any of this information, please go to the Settings tab.
Add a footer message
You may add a standard message to appear in the footer of your invoices. This is a great way for you to put a Thank You message or a notice that you'll be on vacation, for example.
To create or edit the footer message, click the pencil icon. Type in your message, then click Save footer message.
