Editing or Canceling a payment in Bill Pay

Editing a Payment

You can edit a payment after it’s scheduled—right up until it’s processed. This gives you the flexibility to make changes as needed, so your payments always go out the way you intend.


There are two ways to edit a scheduled payment:

Option 1:

  1. Select View Payments using the I want to drop-down menu.
  2. Find the appropriate payment.
  3. Click the edit (pencil) icon.
  4. Update your payment details as needed, then click Save.

Option 2: 

1. Click the edit icon next to a payment in the Scheduled Payments panel.


2. Edit the payment information and click Save when finished.


Canceling a Payment

You can cancel a scheduled payment any time before it’s processed. Whether plans change or a mistake was made, this feature puts you in control.

Option 1:

  1. Select View Payments using the I want to drop-down menu.
  2. Find the appropriate payment.
  3. Click the Cancel Payment icon. 
  4. Click Yes to confirm the cancellation; click No to leave the payment active.

Option 2:

1. Click the Cancel Payment icon next to a payment in the Scheduled Payments panel.

2. To confirm cancellation, click Yes. To leave the payment active, click No.
