Reasons you may no longer be able to accept payments through Autobooks

There are various reasons you may no longer be able to accept payments through Autobooks. We'll display messages in the Account Status area (go to Settings, then Account Status).

Here are the most common situations and what you can do next::

1) You Can’t Accept Any Payments (Card or Bank Transfers)

Complete_Disabled

Autobooks keeps an eye on all payment activity to help protect your business and your customers from fraud. If something suspicious pops up, we may temporarily stop your ability to take payments while we look into it.

Take this action: You can see your payment ability status by checking back on the Settings > Account Status area of our application. If you need more information during this time, please contact us.

2) You Can’t Accept ACH (Bank Transfer) Payments

PartialACH_Disabled

There are two main reasons this might happen:

  1. You may have asked us to turn off ACH (bank transfer) payments in the past.

  2. If you haven’t used ACH payments in the last 12 months, we may have turned it off automatically.

Take this action: If you believe ACH (bank transfer) payment types were disabled in error OR you'd like to turn this ability back on, please contact us.

3) You Can’t Accept Credit or Debit Card Payments

PartialCC_Disabled

With Autobooks, you may request to turn off the ability to accept a certain payment type. If you have previously requested that we turn off your ability to accept credit/debit card payments, you'll see a message in the Account Status tab confirming that choice.

Take this action: If you believe credit card payment types were disabled in error OR you'd like to turn this ability back on, please contact us.
