How do I import transactions from business accounts outside of my financial institution?

This feature is available only for those that subscribe monthly to our Accounting and Reporting services.

If you are NOT a monthly subscriber and would like more information, please view: How to upgrade to add Accounting and Reporting features to my Autobooks account.

Autobooks allows you to perform accounting tasks on transactions for business accounts outside of your financial institution. This provides you with a holistic view of all your business account activity, whether an account from another financial institution, or a business credit card issued by another provider.

NOTE: Once an account is added, it is a view-only look at the transaction activity. You are not able to transfer money or interact in any other way between Autobooks and your other accounts. Only primary administrators of Autobooks can perform this action.

Adding an outside account to your Accounting view

  1. Log into online banking and access Autobooks. Click the Add account button on the Balances page to begin.
  2. Select the financial institution or account provider from the list displayed OR search for your institution or provider using the search bar.
  3. You'll need to grant permission for Autobooks to access your transactions from the additional account. Follow the steps required by your institution or provider to verify your identity, grant permission, and select which accounts (if multiple) you wish to connect.

Once the account is connected to Autobooks, you will see it in the list of available accounts in your Balances list. You may categorize transactions once you see the account in this list.
